Gay/ Sex/ Life is a very funny and touching new play by local playwright, Joseph Alan Johnson. Set in an elite gay neighborhood in Ft. Lauderdale, the action focuses on a couple in crisis during a dinner party that goes hilariously wrong.
Clifford, worried that his twenty year relationship is disintegrating, organizes a dinner to improve relations with his partner, John. Little does he know that John has already met someone else and is bringing him home to meet Clifford and announce their breakup. Miscommunications, a drinking game, ultra fabulous neighbors and a stripper complete this recipe for disaster. After the kitchen catches on fire and the smoke ( literally ) clears, John and Clifford are left to confront their true feelings about the relationship.
Stylishly blending comedy and pathos, Gay/ Sex/ Life is ultimately a story about the human condition and the power of love and friendship...and being your most fabulous self!
